Bob goes to Beijing

Bob in Beijing China for Thomas Clay in Mr. Andersen's Geography class.
1) The weather is typically much like Lindon. Both are close to the same latitude. However Beijing is colder in the winter time, getting Siberian cold fronts. They also seed the clouds to get rain in Beijing. Both to clean the air of smog and because they need the water.
2) No one really knows how many people actually live in Beijing. There are about 16 million people that are licensed to live there. But there are a suspected additional 8 to 10 million people in the city.
3) There are a number of parks and historical sites in and around Beijing. For example the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China. There are also amusement parks near by. However many people want to go to Tibet. Not because of religious reasons but because the air and water are so clear and clean.
4) Because there are so many people in Beijing there are not many places to play sports that take large fields, like soccer and baseball. So many people excersize by doing Tia Chi which takes very little room. Also movies and television is very popular.
5) Most people either work for the government, a government backed company or a small family business. However capitalism has recently been introduced to China and there are now almost as many billionares in China then in the US.
